Scientific Research

The overall objective of my PhD project is the development of patient-specific cardiac models which will provide a framework for the study and assessment of dilated cardiomyopathy. My work has focused on investigating various aspects of the modeling process and the employed numerical methods. I have also been working on maximizing the use of the available clinical data to enable accurate personalized models. These patient-specific models will assist the identification of key differences between patients and normals, with an ultimate goal of gaining a better understanding of the disease, thus improving diagnosis and treatment.
